Task Force on Safety for item No. 35.6.1 has recommended that "each SM/ASM, involved in train operations must undergo a refresher course of one week every two years, which should include GR&SR, Safety Rules and instructions, counseling by a TI and a Simulator Test. A three-yearly refresher course is inadequate".
In view of the above, it is requested to examine the above recommendation of Task Force and advise the required schedule, duration and syllabus of refresher course which may be conducted at ZRTIs for SM/ASM. The requisite information may be furnished at the earliest, within a week.
